I close my eyes when you speak

your wistful words a nectar'd lullaby

my safe haven amidst the stars,

I dance on moonbeam's shine,

 heart skips to your rhythmic tune

'never have to cry'

reigning in melodies of sweet harmony

my world's a better place,

and I owe it all to you...

Definitely a safe haven Frieda - this is simply divine. You have such lovely lines here. I loved how you said my safe haven, that put a massive smile on my face because that is how I feel when I read your wonderful poetry.

Such a beautiful, romantic poem. And the music is just perfect, Michael is a great singer, I love him.

Softly lovely. I like the feel of this poem. Nectar'd lullaby is a nice phrase, moonbeams shine should show the possessive though. you add ' where they don't belong then leave one out!!! :)

Smooth swirls fold under my spoon.
Coffee blends half and half, the half of now and then.
Beams of heat brim over the cups lips,
Tumbling like clouds down the peaks edge,
How ? how to scale the mountain again?
Ever so fresh the strata in your sweet speech,
But the elbow of now, jabs
And I 'll settle to lace my fingers, warm in your thoughts,
Snug around the memories clouding my welling want,
of then , living in the now.
Breath deep, taste today, lean your face just so, let the light frame the beauty,
Let it flow.
