Often times we crucify ourselves over the pain others have inflicted on us. The act of confronting and dealing with the trauma on a daily basis is its own torment. Layer upon layer of suffering is expressed in your words with such heart breaking clarity.. x

Yes exactly Red, thanks so much for your kind words my friend. x
"little earthquakes of my soul unload'd
save me from myself and these blood tears
my heart thunders like a roller coaster ride,"
I like the above words. All of us need a few earthquakes to make our life come alive. Thank you for the outstanding poetry.

Even when you write something sad and dark, I find elegance and beauty in your words. Your talent never ceases to amaze me. It is always a pleasure to read "you".

So sweet of you to say, thanks for your kind words Julie. :-)
We are very often our own worst enemies, but we can only nail ourselves to the cross to a certain extent and there we hang. You've captured this one perfectly; we all need help but where do we go to find it?

Sounds like a plan, I'll be sure to land in your hoose. ;-)
Really like the poem Frieda.... and Tori Amos.
The sense of internal pressure... is very palpable. It come through the read effortlessly.
The feeling of seeking balance with the 'outside' is present as well...
"little earthquakes of my soul unload'd", great line here, plus in a sucker for earth sciences, earthquakes as these ruptures in the fault occur, to ease tension from deep within... painful, ripping, up heaving.... and cathartic for it.... And tones of longing ring me as well.
Good stuff Frieda, nice work. Love how it moves me inside.

Grazie mille Terry, jazz'd you enjoyed my little eruptions. ;-)
If you want to know me, read my poetry, it's all in there. I am a mother of three sons (my finest moments) a sister, a survivor and a little bit crazy. I lost my beloved sister to suicide, so you'll.. more..
