Go ask Alice

about the adventure,

how she fell from grace

into that ungodly space

amongst mad people

places that go meow in the night

yesterday, she was a different kind of gal

believing in the impossible before breakfast

out of touch with toking caterpillars

she left the rabbit hole

with new frightful  insight

it hardly matters which way you go,

it's always a huge puzzle

It was no secret she was entirely bonkers,

whence the queen squealed, off with her head!

Mad Hatter served tea,

with uncommon nonsense

whilst chasing dust bunny shrooms

chatting backwards,

then asked curiouser & curiouser 

'why is a raven like a writing desk'?

They all jammed yesterday and today,

into clouds, sand & sea, so that

eventually,

 logic and proportion of the Red Queen,

only made eccentric sense to the dormouse

feeding your head...

&

uncle Walt kept getting richer off the 

hookah smokin'

 blonde bimbo pill popper;

too bad the moral of the story is frozen for posterity...

Agree that we all of our own brand of madness and not one without a skeleton but it's about working at getting a hold of yourself. I read where someone said they don't think you get to be in this world and not try to be the best person you should possibly be though there are so many who get off on their own "psychosis" or the ability to be a wench. I personally don't know where that gets you unless you are doing a reality show and then how do you like yourself when the lights go out. I'm saying all this to say GREAT POEM get's you thinking.

Interesting, funny you should say that, I have a friend on reality tv, she uses her psychosis to the hilt...but you're right in hardly works in real life. She's not really derange'd aside from the fact that we always tell her she's off her rocker, but her brand of madness as you so aptly put it, at least she's making money off her madness. Glad this gave you pause for thought, thanks Shirlena.

One pill makes you larger and one pill makes you small. Now this was definitely An Adventure in Friedaland. I don't know how you do it, makes me want to shout, hey you smokin mother nature. What a maze of beautiful and exotic images you have painted on this screen today. If I had to pick a favorite line I would pick them all. It's hard to believe though that after all of that Alice moved to upstate New York and opened a restaurant...but I heard she makes the best brownies that side of the Adirondacks.

You know, I love Alice but this takes Alice and her wonderful land to another whole amazing level; imagine if a movie came out where Alice was twisted, omfg, lol! I loved it, the wording, the atmosphere.
