Time dripped into the bottom of the hourglass at the same speed in which the rain poured, the tears fell, and the heart bled and dribbled down, only to have your lover realize far too late and try to fix things that can be repaired no longer. I quite enjoyed this one; it's a clever take on the hourglass concept presented uniquely with a metaphor twisted in delicately . . .

Grazie mille Tai, exactly, always jazz'd to read your reviews..
half past sinful indulgences
rollback was warranted
but time had earlier run out
faith expired on the second hand
dance end'd when the music laps'd
love died an untimely death
beautiful work. Loved it :)

This poem is marvelous along with the reference to Leonard Cohen. Those burning violens are like your burning pages of lively fires and warmth...Bravo........

Hmmm 'etch'd tenderness' now there's a poem, thanks so much for your kind words Scott.
It reminded me of a silent movie for some reason. Just had that slow haunting waltz feeling but with a sizzling salsa effect, if that made any sense? :D haha. Loved it.

Usually you don't Kee, but yes I get it. ;-) I meant thanks so much!
This piece is hauntingly beautiful, Times moves quickly, fear reigns down and the band plays on...burning violins. My sweet friend, each new day, each new poem is an amazing ride. I love the clock references with the music keeping perfect time...even if the steps are heavy. Very nice.
