Madness rules the pen,
   freedom of speech
         not even a concept
what the muse says goes,
  just give in to the inky blows,
     dip that quill in bloody tears
  color it with apricot custard dawning's
    ravage erotica's blissful yearnings
       crack a rib on that funny bone
if you fight the urges,
   you'll end up on the chopping block
    writer's imagination arrested
don't piss off the muse,

Tis a deadly blight indeed...indeed! You won't believe how many times I pissed off the muse, and sat skulking and trying to write something. The muse is forgiving though and shall always come back even though she's pissed, because she knows that without her, mankind is doomed! A very wondrous read, very well penned!

the cracked rib part made me wince a bit..thinking of my mom at 91 and how she cracked hers right before i got to carolina this Xmas....but she is recovering.

started to trip going after a ball, didn't throw the racket aside like i should have...and landed on it..the handle, i was balanced on the racket by my ribs...ugh...

Im with Jack on this one...the muse in us is the balanced one however I've been the pissed off poet before and although it brings about relief its not the poet i wish to be.
