Mist'd Memories

Mist'd Memories

A Poem by Frieda P
"

COLLABORATION~ Jack & Frieda

"
I still see you clearly through misty memories
feel that breath upon the nape of my neck,
warmth of ravish'd strength within my loins
your aura still renders me powerless
buried deep in my heart, under my skin
when it rains in the spaces of my soul
I feel your tender caresses of yesterday
Left of lonely storm cloud's simmering
in shadowed alleys of secret beliefs
touched skin and fingers softly, smoothly
outlining each sighed whisper and
contoured curve, stimulating senses
in breathless desires of your passion’d taste
and tantalizing heat as our bodies met
Our love story a wisp of an interlude
wafting through my chamber'd heart
once our jazz played perfect harmony
the dance stopped playing our song
waltz'd to a beat of an off connection
of sad violin arias constantly screeching
without a chance at charm'd destiny
Portfolios wrap tear stained sheet music
drenched notes bleed, ink runs black streaks
piccolo puddles in high pitched weeping
applauding silent wing'd butterflies
in rhythm with distant thunder...crashing
rumbling in echoes of sorrow
and shattered heart ovations in the rain...

You two combine sweetly and in warm embrace. You two compliment each other anyway and together is a divine union. Wonderful lamenting words capture the heart caught in yesterday.

"applauding silent wing'd butterflies
in rhythm with distant thunder...crashing" - incredibe imagery and the delicate wings in nature's violent booming contrasts paradoxically.

Great job guys.

A nice romantic melding of the minds. I don't know if I could do something like this - maybe I should try it sometime - compromise isn't my strong suit, and I work for myself for a reason - cause no one could put up with me - lol.

Well unless I'm mistaken you wrote the first and third stanza and Jacks are the second and fourth. But my mind is a bit off today so I might be wrong. Another wonderful romantic collaboration.
