The imagery of a flower is strong here, coupled with the metaphors of intimacy and love. I think your word choice is wonderful. You really know how to bring out the gentle ebb and flow of tone. This has a kind of sing-song quality, which I think is lovely. Again, I love the elegance of the dropped "ed" to " 'd", which harkens back to the older romantic days of poetic verse. Thank you for sharing this!

I'm so glad you enjoyed it, thanks for your glowing review Sarai.
Be still my heart.
Wonderful poetic passion of love...this is marvelous...splendid..moving.
You always delight...but this is dangerous to a lonely man.
Admiration to you Frieda...this is an excellent way to start a Sunday

And I thought my sunrise this morning was beautiful and inspirational, then I see this poem and it makes what sits outside of my window seem dull and uninviting. You have this magic touch that allows us, all of us to feel your words, across states, continents, oceans and anything that tries to stand in the way but can't.
A heavy sigh this morning my sweet friend, and it is your sunrise smile that makes the rest of the world seem pale. Amazing
