The imagery of a flower is strong here, coupled with the metaphors of intimacy and love. I think your word choice is wonderful. You really know how to bring out the gentle ebb and flow of tone. This has a kind of sing-song quality, which I think is lovely. Again, I love the elegance of the dropped "ed" to " 'd", which harkens back to the older romantic days of poetic verse. Thank you for sharing this!

Thanks so much Rod, awh, I feel that way some days too when I read other poets. ;-)
Oh Frieda - everything about this is stunning, - your poetry and the presentation wow! I just love the entire poem, but the first three lines are so beautifully sensual. A new favorite!

Thanks Julie, coming from you, that really means a lot to me. :-)
If you want to know me, read my poetry, it's all in there. I am a mother of three sons (my finest moments) a sister, a survivor and a little bit crazy. I lost my beloved sister to suicide, so you'll.. more..
