~Flourish

~Flourish

A Poem by Frieda P

wrap me slowly in your bliss
seize my breath to new heights
sway with me in melodic thunder
enfold my delectation and make it soar
plant honey'd kisses all over my body
i melt under the weight of your rush
 flowery flourish within our flush
         nectar's sweetness flowing
bend me like the wind ravish'd
my petals unfurl at your fever'd touch
dreamily a'waiting your rising dawn,
        surrendering in this dewdrop'd dance

The imagery of a flower is strong here, coupled with the metaphors of intimacy and love. I think your word choice is wonderful. You really know how to bring out the gentle ebb and flow of tone. This has a kind of sing-song quality, which I think is lovely. Again, I love the elegance of the dropped "ed" to " 'd", which harkens back to the older romantic days of poetic verse. Thank you for sharing this!

Fanning myself here....the passion and carnal desire throughout your poem is intense...yet it is elegant like the flower of your metaphor. Filled with eclat and pomp. Your poetry rocks, my friend. Lydi**

...flowery flourish within our flush... Now that's some smooth alliteration, Frieda. Your imagery dances with romance :)
