while I am not a "heaven's rapture" type guy, I think you and your creative mind have captured an "artistic rapture" of wonderful artists, writers, poets.. oh my Frieda, the images that are evoked just with the mention of Monet and Dali; the depth of pain and wonder of Plath, Shakespear and Dickenson, not to mention the horrors written by Poe... more than just personal favorites, they not only have captured the human spirit, but also aided in bettering that spirit, and making for a more beautiful world.. Frieda, in reading your poem several times I couldn't help but think that this poem has also aided us humans to see the world in a better way... very cool and wonderfully done... ~~redzone

Develops into the nature of it all in this one --- Frieda...the usage of your famous people throughout this kept me in the loop...liked the art work also...blends the entirety to this write...as a reader you captivate us into a world of wonder...yet most of us have heard of them all in the passages of time as this illustrates in the lines...seems you took an idea --- painting and art work and collected them into one unique style of a write...there is areas that just present themselves as one liners within the piece...when the names of each are introduced...like a collage:
abstract Dali
Monet's flower
Picasso's soul
Browning's bliss
Sylvia did
Shakespearean stanza
Poe like status
Dickinson verse
That's shy of a dozen with 8 artists that contributed a lot and resonate long after they are gone...with what they left behind in muse and understanding...

You're welcome...editing the next book...and etc...have a good night --- Frieda...
I really like because it combines so many great people and their work. My favorite artist will always be Vincent Van Gogh ~Starry Night over the Rhone, his irises, and sunflowers capture so much. Poe is one of my favorite writers. I love the Raven. Monet and his Lily pads are also so beautiful.
Your poem has many great aspects weaved into one poem.
Nice write!

This picture is of Janae Jefferson Rushin who at just 24, died this morning after a short illness.
Know nothing more than she was a student of Poetry old and Poetry contemporary and was learning
to write it from your great example Ms. Frieda/
thank you,

Yes, art... whether in a painting, in music or in the written word can take us away. It can bring us to a better place. Little drops of serenity are implanted in our brains when we immerse ourselves in culture...I am certain of it. You have mentioned some of my favorites in this. Beautifully written, Frieda. Great imagery. Lydi**

If you want to know me, read my poetry, it's all in there. I am a mother of three sons (my finest moments) a sister, a survivor and a little bit crazy. I lost my beloved sister to suicide, so you'll.. more..
