~Cultur'd Cure

~Cultur'd Cure

A Poem by Frieda P

You are the cure, like an abstract Dali
feeding my spirit as Monet's flowers
creative romps through Picasso's soul
soaring high above the extraordinary
inking sonnets with Browning's bliss
plummet me to earth as Sylvia did
sing to me a Shakespearean stanza
wreck my mind with Poe like status
dancin' upon burnish'd Dickinson verse
clouds withdrew from the skies~
my mind reeling like a free bird's
took a step back in reality's time...
Heaven's rapture has kiss'd unto me

while I am not a "heaven's rapture" type guy, I think you and your creative mind have captured an "artistic rapture" of wonderful artists, writers, poets.. oh my Frieda, the images that are evoked just with the mention of Monet and Dali; the depth of pain and wonder of Plath, Shakespear and Dickenson, not to mention the horrors written by Poe... more than just personal favorites, they not only have captured the human spirit, but also aided in bettering that spirit, and making for a more beautiful world.. Frieda, in reading your poem several times I couldn't help but think that this poem has also aided us humans to see the world in a better way... very cool and wonderfully done... ~~redzone

Inspired aye. Plath was a gifted talent. Poe is stuck with a dark.label though he wrote love poems that were amazing. Monet ah just bliss and wonder abound. The best of best here and your talent sings fresh and springing to life artistry.

Art is the cure indeed - to all the inner ailments, and abstract love and beauty become concrete through the poet's stanza... This piece proves why you are in the same league as the Masters named here, Frieda.

It sounds as if heaven consists of both fixated arts and unrestrained talent, differing between the two depending on the details that the artist chooses to write or illustrate, which may, in turn, represent emotions or phases of the relationship described in the poem. Well done.

Wow thanks Travis, what a lovely thing to say.
soaring high above the extraordinary .. what a way to elevate someone and put them on cloud nice :P sign me up for tutorials on how to make someones day.. cause you sure know it :D !!! I love how you can add realistic relevance to your work and blend it in so well like mystical versus shouted out from the heavens for the people below so they can marinate in your words. You got the recipe for love.
