A Poem by Frieda P

If i trace'd upon your heartstrings,
scripted sweet words in your name
captured moonbeams & butterflies spirit,

if a poet's soul could ignite your essence
light the milky-way and make eyes glisten
would you be stargazing upon my face

if zest of living's experiences be captured in a word,
unfurling the mysteries of fantasies ginger
promising you eternity's sublime surrender

Would you stay to dance with me, just one more day....

...perhaps, and perhaps one might gaze upon a pure radiance. But no, this is the light of flame, of passion. You do it so well, so uniquely "Frieda." So well... there you have it. Ahem! But, be aware some day I may be off my feed (forgetting Pryde's advice) and say "this stinks"; then what? Oh, dreadful day begone hence! I shall fling myself from a shallow dune and feign death (at least till noon. Hopefully that will be sufficient apology should that day ever come.) Then lunch - I'm thinking sushi & wasabi & pickled ginger.

Woo, I'm so there, perfecto! ;-)
My reviews are getting more useless each day, since all I'm saying about how wonderful your poetry is, and I can't stop saying that! This is another incredible poem, rimmed with gorgeous imagery and harmonious words. Wonderfully penned. As a matter of fact, I wasn't really an avid fan of free verse, but your beautiful words have completely changed my views and touched my heart. :)

Awh, you're just an old softie underneath it all, thanks Mark.
Oh Frieda - "butterflies spirit" - how delicate is that? What a wonderful poem. Loved it.

Thanks so much for your visit and kind words stargazer.
That was well written and intriguing, I like how Some of it seems set in stone and some of it is still blurry.

Dancing moves me too, thanks Lacey.
Nice music included here with this poem--they compliment each other well.
"IF a poet's soul could ignite your essence

light the milky-way and make eyes glisten

would you be stargazing upon my face"--this is very strong here and my favorite stanza.

Truly beautiful!
