In your typical vein, a burst of fiery flame brings a world of color, and light, in just a few lines. There is a thundering quality within this poem that takes us into the moment. The entrance of the natural images is mesmerizing, and deeply enhance a message that you cannot miss.

I love Poppies and you have used their beauty brilliantly here. Your opening line is dramatic and powerful. "Skies of apricot" had me sighing at the way the scene is described. It's sexy, sensual and tastefully done. Loved it. Justine :)

At first I thought you might be giving one of our popular poets a shout out... ;)
Ah, then I inhaled the lines and they melted into my subconscious impatience and I saw the intoxication of lovers. Addicted to the rise and fall of their passion...
What a sweet start to the day!

Beautiful artwork and description. Would be nice to be embraced with poppies and love near. Nice thoughts and visions create by the excellent poetry.

It may be cold outside here this morning but this beautiful poem warmed me right up.
"etching my skin with wildflowers I flourish'd" This line is only one of the many in this piece that tocuhed me and opened my eyes. Oh how I wish I had written this.
You take beautiful to an entirely new level, you paint before our eyes wonderful visions of the heart. This my sweet friend, and I know I have said this before many times, is one of your best. This one I will keep close for many more cold days still lie ahead. Amazing Frieda.

As you have warmed my heart with your glowing words my dear friend, I can't thank you enough.
If you want to know me, read my poetry, it's all in there. I am a mother of three sons (my finest moments) a sister, a survivor and a little bit crazy. I lost my beloved sister to suicide, so you'll.. more..
