Bah Humbug..........

Bah Humbug..........

A Poem by Frieda P

Bah humbug, after holiday blues.......

Needles dropping to the tune of spent,

like the green that we paid through the nose

literally,          now take down that  xmas tree

we're moving right along to a new year

so we can pay up on the old debts we incurred

start from scratch so it can be done again

So we've made merry green with envy it seems...

Strange, for me, it's the holiday's blues, for the post-holiday are my reawakening, from my seasonal depression. And yes, a chance to spoil my little ones (3 cats), with special treats with the money not spent. Or to help those, in greater need than I. And thank you, for this humourous poem.

Hahaha. This was great. Let us hope Green grows on trees. But really some people have maxed out their credit cards and now live in debt. If I don't have the money I don't buy it or need it. I feel you are saying live with your means and not be caught up in this culture of excess spending...Excellent...:)............

Brilliant Frieda-ism there. For me the gifts are so secondary almost a non-starter.

Grazie mille Pryde, and I so agree.
I love this. I started railing against the new Christmas a while ago - when people ask me, "are you ready for Christmas" I shock them by saying, "I don't shop, so yes."

Scott.....
Vacuuming pine needles, pulling staples out of colored lights in the freezing cold, lugging boxes of ornaments back into the garage and then hiding out from the bill collectors ...you just gotta love Christmas.

Scrooge on Frieda.
