Strange, for me, it's the holiday's blues, for the post-holiday are my reawakening, from my seasonal depression. And yes, a chance to spoil my little ones (3 cats), with special treats with the money not spent. Or to help those, in greater need than I. And thank you, for this humourous poem.
I keep wanting to believe in the Christmases of the past...the ones of my childhood...there was much more meaning than just "greening" and getting more in debt.

haha well said this is it exactly .We celebrate so heartily to welcome a year full of all the same old same old lol.Bah humbug to bills we have run up with all these festivities lol:)
Ha, ha I am laughing at this one as it is so very true! We get caught up in the "I must do" and the "I must haves" and forget to take the time to value the real treasures of the holiday!! Money comes and money goes, but the gifts often do not last until they are due again..........lol
Some people have forgotten what the meaning of the season is. All about who can spend the most!! My kids got 5 things each. Next year we are doing the four gift thing. Something they want, something they need, something wear, and something to read.
Haha-- well aren't we merry? Nothing says happy holidays quite the way you do. It's so true though. I laughed the other day when I saw someone send out a tweet that said "365 days left til Christmas". A viscous cycle, some parts I love and some I hate. Thanks for the laugh.
If you want to know me, read my poetry, it's all in there. I am a mother of three sons (my finest moments) a sister, a survivor and a little bit crazy. I lost my beloved sister to suicide, so you'll.. more..
