Poetic Prophecy

Poetic Prophecy

A Poem by Frieda P

~people come and go,
souls touch our essence
some rock our psyche to the core
other's hum sweet lullabies
in every instance
we are changed by generosity or malcontent
hit by incandescence's stark light,
perhaps plunged to total darkness
every breath we inhale of another's poetry,
our indulgences austere or elaborate
leaves an imprint within our chamber
housing love, hate and indifference
into eternity's vast ocean of insights
of our own reflective perception of vision
divination's flowing through our wings
touched by angels subliminal prophecies

Freida, this is a very enchanting read...people do come and go from our lives, some stay, some become fond memories and others we just as soon forget. But all in all, they touch us in one way or the other and that my friend is how we learn. Your poetry always amazes me.

We write and somewhat inspire ourselves but then there's the words from others that have an impact. Generosity changes us so why not allow words to.
Nice Frieda.

Thank you Scott, muchly appreciated.
Although, not a religious person, your poem touched and moved me, in a way, I am having trouble describing, in word. Thank you, for touching and moving me, in a positive way, during a time of personal turmoil.

Thanks so much therisa.
I enjoyed the complete poem. I had to read a few times. I agree with the logic. Everything we hear, read and see become a part of us. No weakness in the outstanding poetry.

A manifest made to be awaken from in such a read, A reader is placed upon a path where that go upon that path is in a wandering will. I couldn't do without reading others works of divine, It is something never was till I came here, And I sure glad I did cause I have made many wonderful friends that feel like my family:)

Welcome Frieda :)
Yes, indeed, Frieda. The touch of another's pen can make us cry or laugh, shout or whisper, fall in love or want to die - the pen truly can be mightier than the sword. Very beautiful poetry!

Bawk....................................
When a poem is placed on the page, the poet often has one meaning in mind, but the reader might take away something quite different from the words. It matters not. What matters is that someone read the words. Perhaps the luminosity shining from between the lines will make a difference in the reader’s life...and what poet does not want his or her words to matter in that way? It is sometimes a subliminal message...a prophecy unlocked by the reader’s eyes....and if it comes at just the right time, the poet is the angel of wisdom for the reader. Sorry I went on and on, but your poem is a philosophical beauty, Frieda. Great stuff. Lydi**
