dis connected

dis connected

A Poem by Frieda P

dis connected,
obliterated into tiny pulverized pieces
you took flight without an omen
pierced my soul never to be the same
songs upon a prayer's wing'd escape
once there were two with a single connection
secrets of the heart tuned for perpetuity
nothing lasts forever except memories

I'd reach through the computer screen to give you a big Angel-type hug...but I'm afraid you'd catch my ick.
Only great, as usual, Love...

This poem is rich with emotion, and is soaked with beautiful, gracefully-tied words. Wonderful, as always.

You express the emotion of a dissolved relationship and all the disappointment it brings so beautifully.

Grim and dispirited emotions......honest ones that pierce the soul. Memories do last forever and even though they are not as tangible as the real thing, they can get us through. I missed this because I was away. Glad I found it! Your emotions splash on the page in such vivid designs. Lydi**

hold onto your memories Frieda, they often keep us whole and in many ways"connected", even if not in the way we would have liked.. loved the music you added. ~~redzone

I miss reading your words Frieda. :( So much sadness in your writing, understandably so of course. I hope your memories can bring you comfort. xoxox

To be disconnected can have us wondering about self worth. It's the memories that we retain that help us along this windy road.
