A Moment in Sanctity

A Moment in Sanctity

A Poem by Frieda P

Where there once was music lie a deaf ear
entombed in icy landslides of an encased heart
seasons changed quicker than the ocean tides
summer was Old Man Winter in an instant,
in delusions of melting ice caps
came a premonition of candle shimmer
dancing shadows over moonbeams,
an inner sanctum of hopeful resolution
when the night exploded within a promise
of childlike awe and expectation,
spring flew blindly like a bird with soul'd wings
a hush fell over the             turbulent rush
dulcet melodious tunes captivated the night~

at least in this moment there was sanctity

You know how much I love Stars work, she is a gem. How is she doing? Hope she is well, tell her I said hi. :-D

No matter how fast times goes, how fast the seasons change, how fast our days move we always have the here and now. This is beautiful, the wording and flow is amazing and imagery is mind blowing. I loved it.

Flip flops and all that jazz, absolument magnifique poupée! ;-) xo

Changing seasons turn pages of our lives and our love...

Spell-binding imagery grips me in these lines...

"spring flew blindly like a bird with soul'd wings

a hush fell over the turbulent rush

dulcet melodious tunes captivated the night~

at least in this moment there was sanctity"

I am left with a magical, dream-like feeling....Thank you for sharing Frieda...

Relationships can cycle much like the seasons...the change is so fast it may catch us unaware. Hopefully there is those moments of sanctity to grasp if only fleeting. A wonderful write to go with Stars always beautiful art.

Thanks so much Tom.
The moments captured in spring echo beyond your words. It seems the seasons fly by us but rebirth and renewal remind us of better things where the hope we hold in our hearts can flutter in the sunlight.

Love your review, thanks so much Anne.
A beautiful poem with gorgeous imagery! It was like looking on an impressionist painting and being lost in the abyssal depths of some distant memory. Lovely poem.
One thing to note:

In the first line, I think lie should be lies.
