Last Sigh

Last Sigh

A Poem by Frieda P

....but a teardrop in your essence
that sense will always disquiet
took my breath away when you took yours
always a flutterby yearning in your flight
you float with the angels heralding peace
a promise to proclaim faith in all begrud'd
your last word, 'be kind in my absence'
written in the blood of all mankind

A sense of "disquiet" pervades this piece. Truly heartbreaking... "Be kind in my absence." This piece is the sort that stays with you after reading. Never forgotten...

Thank you for your gracious words Diana....much appreciated.
Another lovely poem in the shelter where you hide my Lady. In the Lea (Lee) of life's storm. I wondered if you had enough written about this pain to publish a volume which could be interspersed with commentary about the pain of loss etc. it would be a lovely book which could serve to soothe those who are in the same position and perhaps calm those who might contemplate to leave their loved ones behind with such eternal lacerations.

I nearly lost it on the last two lines...I felt like I was about to bawl like a baby. But there isn't much else I can say here. We've talked, and you know I'm thinking of you on this day. xo

How can such sorrow be so beautiful. I think I ask that question a lot when I read some of your sadder works and I always come up with the same answer...because everything you write is beautiful. This feels so very soft, but the content brings tears to our eyes.

Lovely my sweet friend.
