Last Sigh

Last Sigh

A Poem by Frieda P

....but a teardrop in your essence
that sense will always disquiet
took my breath away when you took yours
always a flutterby yearning in your flight
you float with the angels heralding peace
a promise to proclaim faith in all begrud'd
your last word, 'be kind in my absence'
written in the blood of all mankind

And with that last sigh, so much pain was bequeathed to those who knew, who understood, yet understood not, but most of all loved! There are those times when the heart bleeds tears though the butterfly flies free and the wings that yet hover over those who cry send not away the winds of sorrow!
A beautiful presentation but yet so sad, so very, very sad Sweet and Precious One!!!

A very beautiful and personal write, Frieda. I echo Sami; you are, indeed, kind.

This pierces to the core, "Be kind in my absence," such a beautiful sentiment among the ashes of such tragedy. Those who were loved and left behind were not forgotten.

Heartbreaking read. Wish we could relieve some of your pain, my friend. Some things we just don't understand and it continues to pull at us. Felt this...

Thanks Sirrah, never to be understood I guess...sigh.
Somber and melancholy, the intensity of the emotion expressed in this one blew me away, Frieda. The longing for one who has left the world is raw and honest. Beautiful in its poignancy. Lydi**

You humble me Lydi, thanks so much for your gracious words.
Profoundly poignant, the spirit lives on and now flies free just as a beautiful butterfly newly emerged from it's cocoon !
