My dear, you've made a habit of writing things that just strike me to the bone. This piece is highly reflective about a lot of things that have been on my mind for the last while. You just have a way of expressing these things that is unparalleled. Awesome work as always :)

Thanks so much Benji, sorry you can relate my friend, jazzed you enjoyed :-)
You pose some interesting thoughts... most people out there ignore the signs, to caught up in their own little world and forgetting the bigger picture.
It's so sad - reflective and profound, Frieda. Breathing, yet dead inside - the imagery and words palpable to the core. Sometimes I wonder how many 'live' like this... I'm many of us have a moment felt like this from time to time... But really living it - that's a deeper sorrow.

buried under the rubble long before the avalanche
no one noticed the earth was shifting, or
they ignored the quietude of pleading screams
under breathing's precious facade of living
Powerful and poignant poem about the attitude to life and suffering today. Excellent poem. 100/100
I often wonder about this myself. It's true what you have written I was just asking myself today, what people do when they know they've lived their lives already, and death hasn't come to them yet. It must be agonizing...My grandfather is 95 years old. He's an amazing guy.

Ninety five that's amazing, you should ask him, thanks for your thoughts here Siren.
This has a universal 'aura'. So many of us are buried beneath the rubble, maybe because we were the one's that warned the avalanche was coming. I am hoping that my comments make no sense at all! A well formulated poem, I think.

Actually your comments make perfect sense, that's the kick of it all, thanks Aunt Astri....
This reminds me of a conversation my wife and I had the other night as we sat under the stars. We contemplated how we humans can't even feel the earth as it revolves with us on it or which stars have already faded from existence. A very thought provoking poem.
Why can nobody see?
Can they see yet not know how to un-fall the avalanche...
We see many friends in trouble and we often do not have the skills or the know how to rescue them.
We can dig. We can keep searching. We can keep calling out and leaving the lights on.
Now, for the soul buried. Keep breathing until the air is done. Keep reaching until the body refuses to respond. Keep living until the light at the horizon is indeed your rebirth.
Loved the emotional call here. Strong and compulsive write.
You are a pure joy to read Frieda.
Much love and I not only see your work, but I feel it and you call me to respond as well.
