~Autumn of my heart...

~Autumn of my heart...

A Poem by Frieda P
"

Thank you sweet petulia (Emma Joy) for the luverly pic and inspiration.

"
There is a place of calm within my soul, an autumn that wraps around my heart that reminisces young and vintage memories where old friends visit, share the warmth of coffee, that place of colorful reverie whispers my name blush of summer gone and renewal has begun
shades of firewood on wood burning stoves as spirited leaves begin to fall to their demise I catch the memories like snowflakes on the tongue waiting in the shadows, a stoic season ready to nip its chill in this moment I relish the burnished views afore the golden, fruition of a gathering equinox of thoughts they dance amongst the scarlet hues playfully amused until old man winter comes to tuck them in yet again

I enjoyed the poem. The above is my favorite. Would be nice to gather with old friends. To be able to talk till we can't no more. Thank you for the memories and amazing poetry.

So beautiful! ^_^ This poem was like an abrupt interruption brought about by happiness. It is nostalgic and just so happy. Thank you for this amazing poem :)

I find this a lovely cosy poem. Does that sound stupid? The words seem to drift langourously about me as I sit and smell the woodsmoke.

There's just something about autumn. The beautiful colors...the smell...crisp blue sky. It's so vibrant and bright...then winter sets in with grey cold days. What a sumptuous ode to the season. x

Absolutely beautiful Frieda..I see fall and all of it's colors as a beautiful transition from this life to the next. That after a physical death, paradise awaits...Although those who have passed are deeply missed.

Thanks for your visit and thoughts here SarahLin, much appreciated.
Such a relaxing piece, one that I would love to read over and over especially after having a long day. Good one as usual my sweet friend Frieda.

Thanks Cassie, jazzed you enjoyed this one.
`` Isn't it ironic, that we all love autumn and yet it's the time everything dies? ``
I don't remember the original speaker of the poem and I don't believe I've quoted her correctly, but nonetheless, the poem reminded me of the line. Well done!
