~Gentle Quiver

~Gentle Quiver

A Poem by Frieda P
"

on my mind...

"
...and then I paused in the moment
                          to devour the thought

always a gentle quiver on my mind
like a good book, I never want it to end

we closed our chapter with no song or rhyme
prologue memories were steamy and sultry
   moonlight smiles were tender rapture

introductions to dreamy blissful intensity
intentions of our prelude to make it to the finale

as fairy tales go there was no happy ending
our final chapter closed without a kiss

still, when I think of you in quiet moments
you are always a gentle quiver in my mind

I simply love how you do love, or at least love of before, in this case. Your words always have a certain silkiness to them, smoothly flowing across our eyes in alluring and sensuous stanzas. It is really hard for me to put my finger on the correct words to describe your style of writing except to say...this is definitely a Frieda. Amazing my friend.

Wow this is one of your best imo. So softly sad and yet sweet. Very nice.

Not with a bang but dissipating as a quiver.. How peaceful to submit to the end so peacefully. I liked this.

Memories of loves past can tug at our minds. That quiver - a perfect description of this feeling. This is an elegant poem, Frieda.

Frieda, I must confess... I'm tearing up right now... why did you have to go and tug at my heart like this!

This is a tender and painful piece... letting go of what could have been...
I felt this to the core...it reminds me of a past lover, I think about during quiet moments...
To this day he still has a hold of me that I cannot explain....the chapter is closed, but I still peer into it every once in awhile... (sigh)

A beautiful display of yearning.~xoxo~

When we are perceptive to the gentle stirrings in our spirit, we will know the fullest expressions of our being. In this state of mind, the universe only needs to whisper to get our attention.
I heard this loud and clear and I felt my own quiver of emotion.
Beautiful.

Wow, who are you thinking about here? Makes me ponder poems. Why do we never try to retrieve that past love we so fantasize about? The memories more sweeter than the reality? Every lost love an newer opportunity to find more perfection right? Because we deserve to be loved fully.
