Butterfly haunts me flutters by in the dark of night when the smoke cleared all that was left was a still photograph no breath to be had, no words to be spoken perched upon my mind where no one can see all the secrets that taunt me
Left behind in your spirit like an erratic zephyr they twist my head nothing sacred in how you fled the atmosphere I oft wonder have you found that freedom as you floated from this earth markings on the sky of colorless clues the painted scenery still not clear all that's left to do is exhale poetry
Sometimes the words we string together are the only respite we have. They are our armor or if the barrage is less intense, our umbrella. I feel the sorrow here and the despairing frustration that such a loss must engender. Exhaling poetry would necessarily be the only comfort.

My wonderfully talented friend Jack, whom we all know and love, was kind enough to sit down and compose this piano piece for my musings here, please enjoy!
Bravo, my sweet friend, you have outdone yourself! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are truly amazing. ♥
Your title was very inviting. And your poem did not let me down, but it raised enchantment to the magical level. You know the fine art of words. You poem left me breathless.
This is so haunting and beautiful! I love what you did here. Starting from the title and the picture, to your words and the font...great work here, Frieda!

Butterflies sifting through the air amidst the ruins of an apocalypse, an impending sign of hope or doom, who's to know? It seems you've taken an indifferent stance to the creature, not caring anymore whether it has cheated death by shading away from the storm, or whether it has brought along the storm entirely (the butterfly effect: even if you didn't intend it, it was quite clever), or whether it simply survived along with you the darkness of the end.
