Fearful Light

Fearful Light

A Poem by Frieda P
"

Inspired by Dax

"
I won't cry for you anymore
you were the stars, the moon
   i lived within your cosmos
I feared the light without you
    skies turned a    vacant ash
cried an ocean's raindrops
    under deserted rue'd
skies
the music ceased
                 i tried to dance
i faltered, and fragmented
     unfurled by splintered crystal
In your b'moaned absence
        breathing shattered glass,
i sing a dusky haunted tune
         still, I won't weep
whilst you fade in past tears...

I have been reading these past days...
Now I must leave a footprint in the sands of this pristine bay of healing words...
Freida, I think now the lost one can stop her tears as well. The fading is not from memory or from life, but from sorrow.
While sorrows fade, new life can be understood and embraced!
This is what you gave me in spirit as I read these words...
Even as my sorrows fade.
Be well dearest friend.

I feel the trace of a grieving process here. You follow through to each step. At some time or another:

tears must subside
like an ebb tide.

Hmmm reminds me of something, thanks Athereal.
There is a time when we must let go, as difficult as it may be, it's best for the soul...
Pain will only keep you in the dark...open the door, and let the light in...

You have touched me once again, Frieda... ever the emotive writer, you have such a gift!
Amazing write.~xoxo~

Glad it touched you Vidushi, thank you...
Sometimes we have to know when to cut our losses and walk away...

Another great poem with some mind blowing lines

i faltered, and fragmented
unfurled by splintered crystal
In your b'moaned absence
breathing shattered glass

Never said it was easy... it wouldn't be life then. Hang in there Moonbeam.
"i sing a dusky haunted tune

still, I won't weep

whilst you fade in past tears..."

I feel the power of realization in this powerful poem. The hope of moving on despite the past mistakes and abuses. A slight hint of bitter forgiveness perhaps. Finding answers within instead of the cosmos...Splendid as always...:)

You are welcome muchly...:)
You are such a superb artist and an even grander soul. I am entranced by the way you take your pain and paint us a canvas of your blood ...real...tortured.. my soul spills when I come here and watch your work...This is magnificently deep and beautiful! ( I clap as I weep!)

Wow Queenie, I'm humbled by your kind words, truly, thank you so much.
Freida, once more you touch me, you move me, you bring tears to my eyes with your words. I can feel the anguish, the loss, the broken heart in this and it cuts deep. But i can also see the light, through those past tears, the sun is rising on this heart and it is moving forward.

You amaze me.

Now on another note, I was being nosey...yes I am nosey, but I paid a visit to your page and did a bit of quick calculating and have come to find that this poem, Fearful Light, is the 800th poem you have posted on WC. Not that my sweet friend is truly amazing to me. Not only that you have reached this milestone, but you have reached it with beauty. I am popping the champagne as I write this review. Congrats my sweet friend.

P.S. don't by any means think though that 800 is enough, twice that would not be enough for me. :)
