~ Dark Angel Tears

~ Dark Angel Tears

A Poem by Frieda P

I bled out through dark ashes
in attempts to heal stardust
You were floating on fluttered
     air of sea foamed ripples
My breath was stifled infinitely,
    intrinsic absence in your rhapsody
Drowning in abysmal insanity
 these depths of pensive poetry
    sworn  flourish of successful flight
Our blood mingled upon dismal wings
   henceforth glimpsing timelessness
        reverie
 of envisioned dark angel tears

This is one of your most imaginative and melodic pieces Mrs.R...you've said you're not into myths yet this one has a mythological quality to it...don't lose faith in poetry, even the pensive kind, to keep you afloat amid the insanity...life is littered with letdowns but poetry is not among them :) xo

"I bled out through dark ashes" is such a beautiful and memorable opening line. It immediately captures the reader. "Floating on fluttered air ... " is also beautiful. I love the way that the words just roll off the tongue. There is a beautiful poignancy throughout that belies the darkness. It's almost like a beautiful gothic.

A symbiotic scene captured in Friedaisms peeling back the third eye of the readers mind and allowing it to see the nature born in each of your words.

bled out through dark ashes in attempts to heal stardust. That line goes right to the core. Well done, Frieda.

Thanks Tam...
"My breath was stifled infinitely,...
these depths of pensive poetry.....
reverie of envisioned dark angel tears"

I think if angels cried, if they ever lamented, they would find comfort and justice in your words. Never overly stated, not minimized... But, a deep truth that even we humans might attempt to understand, and feel at least as deeply. Wonderful write!

Grazie mille Kelly!
A poet I know well and like, here a great mix of the quatrain, triolets and couplets packed with fine images.

Thanks for your gracious review my friend, much appreciated Leslie.
choo choo choo choo choo. figured you'd like to hear my "i'm so impressed i can't figure out what to say so i'm going to make train noises until i can find another word another than wow" noises. this is marvelous. imagery dripping from every line laced with explicit diction and making me sound poetic in my own review trying to describe how great your poem is. one word wraps it up. wowsers.
