"Come sit with me in fields of poppies
where collective thoughts can be free"
A beautiful and hopeful poem. I like the above lines. It is good to know peace and harmony. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Jazzed you enjoyed this one John, thanks so much for your kind review.
There is such an awakening here...a feeling of awe, the beauty of the poppies. Your "author's note" kept me mesmerized, and the quote by RUMI...such a tranquil presentation, Frieda!
My best,
Kelly

Thrilled to hear, I was having a Kumbaya moment, glad you enjoyed Kelly!
You have picked out a favorite thought with this write.
We do not have to label everything do we? Ambiguity is a gift as it allows space to be oneself in the midst of the ever changing values of our surroundings.
I am happy to live in this field with you... I can think of no better place to live...
Thank you for the lovely thought.

Awh sis, a sigh, how luverly, thanks muchly my sweet friend! xoxo
This should be tacked to every wall of every world leader, every person who makes decisions about sending people off to war - for that matter, every classroom and playground, too - everywhere there is a need for the wisdom of peace. Beautiful words here, Frieda...
Your poem is hauntingly beautiful and incredibly sad, to think we must lie among the dead to know true peace. Quick fact: In Flanders Field was actually written by a Canadian (Yeah we do that, us Canadians. Jim and Mike Myers Canadian. Annoying huh?)

If you want to know me, read my poetry, it's all in there. I am a mother of three sons (my finest moments) a sister, a survivor and a little bit crazy. I lost my beloved sister to suicide, so you'll.. more..
