Secret Unlocked

Secret Unlocked

A Poem by Frieda P
"

Random catechism...beyond reality.

"
...the sleep that takes breath away,
 total blackness of night

Unwinding,

 like the frayed edges
                      of old testament books

When that door opens

& the secret unlocked~

Is there truly blissful light
beyond reality's veracity
,

                  wildflowers & poetry too?

This was beautifully done. I loved the ending the most. I truly hope there is "blissful light
beyond reality's veracity," So well put, I hope so too.

One of your more philosophical pieces...I think we all have a poem like this in our minds at some time or another through our lives...I really love the way this unfolds, particularly when the old testament reference is followed by an opening door...there's a stroke of poetic genius in that...of course those strokes can be found throughout your poetry ;) But when the mood and theme of this piece are taken into account, it's a brilliant progression...great stuff as always my dear :)

Well, my dear, let's hope what awaits waits a good long time. And I am hoping for wine, wildflowers, and poetry. Lovely work, here.

Wildflowers and poetry - where would we be without them? This is lovely Freida. :) Julie

Wildflowers and poetry.....what a 60's like thought that is and a serene one. Not sure if you will celebrate this week, but your mention of the Old Testament is timely. May you have a peaceful and sweet New Year, Frieda. Your poem is soft and lovely. Lydi**
