~to the Moon & Back

~to the Moon & Back

A Poem by Frieda P

In my heart of discontent
where remembrances lie
dandelion & butterfly raindrops
land upon my face
streaming in memories
fragile recollections of a better place
wafting through the air
into the atmosphere
on a wing and a prayer
looking for a sign
are you here with me still
within the magic of a flutterby
I sigh a dandelion's breath
dancing spirals grace a zephyr
gently drifting to the clouds
made a wish upon a star,
                   they make it that far
for our essence to meet
halfway between
 the moon & back

Ha Kleio, thanks..............!
You know my heart is always with you, and when you talk about your sister, I know how you feel... I know loads of people say this and they won't truly know until it happens but when you lose someone close, you know. And you're a great person, she's always watching you and probably still saying it to you, telling you to be less stubborn, too. You're a great big sister, she's always with you, in your heart and you're still in hers. Always will be.

Muchly appreciate your kind words Sanober, thank you!
I lost a sister as well, a mother, a poor sad excuse for a father, (thank goodness for foster parents) a lover, two grandpas, one grandmother, a child, and all I can say to you is... I don't know, but I'd like to think so, I think after a time they do get to chose what location to serve, I think they do get to come back and watch over us if that's what they wish to do, my beliefs only...but I hope it comforts somehow. This is beautiful Frieda.

A very touching moment, I am sure. Sounds like thoughts that truly come from the heart. Memories are wonderful things, because we can pick and choose the ones we want to carry with us. Well done!
