Your poetry is getting better and better. I hope to buy your poetry book one day and add it to my favorite. I like the flow of thoughts and how you used the language. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.

Wow John, you humble me with your kind words, thank you so much.
You have touched my heart with the beauty of your words and the breathtaking images you have shared. This poem is so soft and delicate - I can tell it was written from your heart. Absolutely lovely. :) Julie
I could feel the emotion behind your words even before your author's note. I hope that there is a place half way between here and there where you can meet again.

I really hope so too Anne, thanks my sweet friend....
Sometimes it's good to reach back and pull something out of the past. The best inspirations lie there as this work gives good evidence. Extremely well done and worth another read.

Thanks Dave, so nice to see your luverly face on my page again, glad you're back....
Your words remind me of why I began writing to begin with Frieda. For beauty, for elegance and precision. There is no doubt in my mind that your head whirls and twirls around the same picturesque language we all crave. But you reach further; gripping it. Using it. I envy your ability to convey emotion with such grace, particularly feelings towards others. whether it is a lover, or other, these thoughts can be overdone, and you reignite hope within me for the future of literature. "Dandelion and butterfly raindrops" I hope to patter down on my window tonight, as an inspiration and a reminder of your fine work. Always a pleasure, dear friend

Anytime Frieda, you really are a star, and your sister would be so proud of you. Lots of love x
"made a wish upon a star,
they make it that far
for our essence to meet
halfway between
the moon & back"
Very poignant. What a complex question: when we wish upon a star, does it really get there? When we carry such tormented love for ones we lost, do they know it, do they feel it? I lost a sister to disease; it was sad, but my sister was a virago, a histrionic, manipulative control junkie whose memory few mourn. I think of her, of course, but what I mourn is the injury, bitterness and shame she visited upon her family and the few friends she had. She was very bright, but she seemed to be consciously self-destructive and aggressively committed to damaging others. No one escaped her presence intact. Your feelings for your sister are gentler, sweeter and heartbreaking.

Oh gosh... Fp... I had reference by a fellow writer that we both had written about the same subject 'the moon'...wow... and I stalled and stalled to come by and read this poignant & moving write because I knew it would be a tear jerker. For so many reasons..personal to me (my pops)... it set me off thinking of him... eyes dried now.. composed enough now to tell you.. this was simply...
If you want to know me, read my poetry, it's all in there. I am a mother of three sons (my finest moments) a sister, a survivor and a little bit crazy. I lost my beloved sister to suicide, so you'll.. more..
