A Poem by Frieda P

Revel in your grace
take flight in the dance
bask in the sun
soak in salty sea of tears
sob for the plight
bathe in euphoria
exalt well-being,
stir in sensuality &
vital force of musicality
ascending the heavens
precious as air's
vehement breaths

Bemused poesy
staining the skin
penetrating the heart
absorbed within ardent spirit,
life revealed before our eyes
folded over neatly
waiting to be heralded
recognized by mankind

Ink permeates the page
floats unto the soul
of all those who listen
intently....

The musicality of this dances off of the page. It's beauty fills the air:

Bemused poesy
staining the skin
penetrating the heart
absorbed within ardent spirit,
life revealed before our eyes
folded over neatly
waiting to be heralded
recognized by mankind

Simply gorgeous!

What do poetry and music have in common? They both move us......physically and emotionally!! This dances on the page...

Your poetry is a balm to the weary and tortured soul, Frieda. Thank you for taking us on a stroll through serenity.

Pretty cool Frieda, I like the opening as it feels a bit like a list of affirmations or prescribed desires. Then the middle a clever description wrapped in metaphor leading to a great ending with the title as its point. Well done friend.

The lines all stand alone yet are woven together to give us a picture. Well done.

Grazie mille my friend..
A lyrical recipe of words and music creating breathtaking images for this world or whatever comes after (and before.) Ink can record the musical notes and the poem's words, but only a magician can make them swirl into one and light up the sky.

Love the Salsa, thanks so much Sunshine.

From the first lines of this piece, there is rhythm and motion - your pen sings beautifully here, Frieda!

Thanks for this glowing review Rita, muchly appreciated!
This is one of the most uplifting pieces you've ever written...even though there is dark imagery within, there is a feeling in this one...I don't know if optimism is the right word, maybe motivating describes it best...whatever the case, it's beautiful work, as it always it when you write :)
