Blue Moon Glow

Blue Moon Glow

A Poem by Frieda P
"

Yes, there was a blue moon last night...

"
I stood alone under a blue moon
lit within its own fire

a cool stare, intensely mesmerizing
yet, it tenderly warmed my soul

I thought of you watching me
intently gazing in that same way

I think at that precise moment
we both had the same captivating desire

Awash in intoxicating burnished splendor
sapphire moon flashed a winked at me
I knew in my heart it was true

I too saw this moon last night and was inspired by its beauty. The night sky holds so many mysteries, but when it opens up its heart to us, magic happens.

There is magic in your beautiful poem today my sweet friend. I find that I am once again inspired, but not so much by last night's moon, but by this morning's words that far outshine the display I witnessed in the evening sky.

I am enchanted by your words, so soft, so demure and oh so vibrant in love and desire.

"By the light of your words, I now can see"

I never saw it..... ugh. But this was amazing, you know the Moon holds memories for me so your title itself pulled me in. I found this completely breath taking. The Moon was right outside my window but never looked blue. :(

So here was me, at 16 talking to the moon and before I slept I sang Billy Moon, haha. Now you all know my secret.

There are some out standing lines in this that I couldn't pick one of them as the others would be sad.

captivating write, I felt it was me there looking at the moon, great work :)

I'm still bitter over the fact that clouds obscured that moon on me...you're aware of my affinity for the colour, and that sight would have truly painted my world in it...but that only accentuates my love for this piece, right down to the blue lettering ;) Again, I detect an underlying layer of emotion in your words, and again, they line up perfectly with the underlying emotion I derive from my own interpretation...beautiful work love :)

Beautiful poem and tribute to the Blue Moon. Selene's stare from far away is all she really needs to say.
