~Butterfly in Heaven

~Butterfly in Heaven

A Poem by Frieda P
"

A collaboration of music & poetry, piano composition by Jack, for which I will be eternally grateful. Thank you my dear friend with my whole entire heart. From me & Lee....♥♥

"

I am but one lone butterfly
set forth on the sea of my accord
took flight on a moonbeams prayer
salt had stung my fragile wings

sunlight had parched my soul

I wander a'flutter stormy nights
   searching for the reasons       why
in surrender's darkness there is light
      whilst angels whisper my name,
all the while I'm still here & there

Gorgeous description Frieda, the imagery is of a strong metaphor steeped in personal essence. This is a beautiful piano piece as well Jack, you are a man of many talents. I can see it being played at the beginning or end of a film, or sampled to create some more contemporary music styles. Well done the both of you.

Thanks Mark, I'll keep that in mind............................
Oh my goodness, how beautiful! The music is a most unlikely combination of delicate and somber, and perfectly accompanies the painful flight of the also delicate and somber butterfly. What a wonderfully captivating collaboration. :)

A sound metaphor for the turmoil of life, hauntingly beautiful music, and all around wonderful imagery. Fantastic work.

This is one of the best collaborations on this site - maybe even the best - knowing that it was entirely created on this site makes it so special. That music is amazing and as i said ti jack, as good as any i've heard on movies. I loved the flitting notes to represent the butterfly movements at the start - class.

Friedas words are so poignant and I could see the butterfly on a piece of driftwood taking a rest from crossing the ocean. Amazing stuff you two.

I enjoyed the poem and the music. Even more so because it was a work two of my friends put together.

The poetry was gentle and visual without blinding or trying to over dazzle me.
My favorite line was the last line... I feel myself being "here and there" often and your words made it feel better, almost natural...

The piano was a little out of character at first for me, but once you got past the faint introductory exploration of notes, I felt the poetry blend better. Alone, I like the piano very much, but together it needs to be condensed as the read is rather short. I could consider the poem an introduction to the song I guess and then my mind would be ready to be patient.

A talented write by both artist.

Wow!... so beautiful is this heavenly piece... there is a swirl of melancholy within the tone of the composition and the words combined... they both so easily convey a silent prayer... (brings tears to my heart) OMG!!!

Sheer perfection you two... breathtaking work...~xoxo~

Oh geez, guys. This is such a sad and haunting piece. The music and words just meld perfectly. The last line had me smiling, Frieda. Even though they go, they do seem to flit here and there. Sometimes just when we need to know they are around the most. This is lovely, Jack and Frieda. Angi~
