~Ashes, We All Fall

~Ashes, We All Fall

A Poem by Frieda P

Where is love laid to rest
when it takes that last breath
are there markers at a grave-site
or does it purely burn out
much like ashes of cremation
no bejeweled urn to possess
terminated last rites,
sacrificed primordial
spiritual strength for recovery

~~

 if you've faith enough
  to say 'AMEN'

Wish I knew where it goes. My biggest fear is that it never really once. Perhaps if there where markers at a grave site we could look back and say yes indeed it did happen. But love is fleeting and as elusive as our lives themselves. Perhaps all we get in the end is our own knowingness. Okay Amen!

Amen mamacita!!!! Where does it go? Down the toilet. Once you flush it, it's gone then.

This is a really powerful, honest write, Frieda. Something I really enjoyed reading, the music really suits the mood and the write.

Flip flops, awesomesauce and all that jazz!! xo

Thanks so much Sean, glad you enjoyed this one.
Any excellent question and a beautiful poem. My husband always tries to drag me back to my mom's grave but I never want to go. To me it's just a stone in the ground. I feel more connected her in other places. But each person grieves differently.

A really deep and soul-searching poem Frieda. Reflective and poignant and emotional. You are very brave.

I suspect that when we dont feel brave is when we are bravest of all.

so sad. We are so temporary. And it sucks. This is a fully saturated poem Miss Frieda.
