~~Le Petit Mort

~~Le Petit Mort

A Poem by Frieda P
"

translation~the little death

"
dreamers floating on starlit cotton candy half way to the moon
signs of celestial bodies memories flaming in unison
lost in a trance of artistic delight of tenuous heights
wanderers meet on a plain halfway between nirvana
thunderous roar of passion's brazen bounties
no words to explain the shadow dance of aching
falling to earth in pools of sinful ecstatic pleasure
a small death of harmonious concourse to heaven's gates

Laughing here, batteries, surely you jest! ;-)
What a poem! The pleasure of being with each other in a very intimate moment. They say that it's the "heaven" on Earth.

Nice choice of words, as you always do. This is really amazing, Frieda.

as the French say, the small death, the orgasm...
a poem full of sensuality that is never crude, but full of subtley and style...

Thanks Leslie, much appreciate your kind review.
Hmmm. Very interesting.
I'm reading a sexual meaning into the depiction here.
Could be that's what the piece is, or maybe I'm just obsessed.

Either way, some beautiful imagery and ideas here and a real image of beautiful union in the purest and most non salacious sense is conveyed.

Lovely work.

Perhaps you're obsessed I don't know but you'd be correct, thanks Brett.
Hovering in ecstacy comes to mind...like while I was reading this poem. I think you have written a definitive piece here. honey...nectar from Aphrodite. P.

Frieda....venturing outside of l'italiano? La piccola morte would have sufficed....either way, I accept your unabashed lingering lines of love. Grazi Mille!!! ;)
