Mrs Robinson

Mrs Robinson

A Poem by Frieda P
"

For Benjamin...

"
Mrs Robinson lurks in the night
for unsuspecting vital bites
her enticing glance could charm the pants
off even the most experienced romancer
she weaves the web til it suits her taste
painted in a sable brush with diamond studs
when she's through with you
you'll have aged a million years
yet her siren call will
have you begging for all the more

God knows Jesus can't help you now

This film when I first saw it at the cinema was one of my all time favourites and still is now. I must have seen it hundreds of times. God I fancied Elaine when I was 17.
I think I met her mother a few times over the years. She was one of my teachers at school.
This brings back so much Frieda.

I've never seen this film, Frieda, but your poem makes me want to because it looks A-M-azing! Mrs. Robinson is quite...naughty, isn't she? This was fantastic:) Bravo!

Like this, a poem that has thematic unity, presented as a kind of visual/literary package, and a good idea well written...

When you've got to choose Every way you look at it, you lose...
Lol, you do have a way with words, words that can be quite hilarious to be true. Very funny Frieda, you seem to know a bit about those 'vibrant bites' me thinks.

I remember this movie quite well...

Because she can....
unsuspecting vital bites. ooh da lolly. This is such a great poem - and now I will be singing that song all day. Tasty poem - so much classier this depiction of a man eater than say what we have now you know? Do I sound old?
