If only, well who's to say they can't...those dreams, those fantasies, those heart shaped wishes can't come true. I for one say they can, if we just do not give up, keep pulling that lasso in a little bit closer each day. I am a believer that "if only" means "it will", if it is something I really want. Frieda, your charm and your heart always show through in the beauty of your words. This was gorgeous, as is the poet. Very nice my friend.

Thanks my sweet friend, and to that I have to say 'if only'. :-)
A very beautifully crafted poem Frieda. Sometimes are "if only's" give us hope and sometimes they just make life a real pain in the butt to think about!
Another beautifully ethereal piece with a good amount of beauty and brightness, but also a shred of a forlorn breeze--the perfect combination, in my book. Love the imagery and the way that you have shined a light on the way that the world seems to rotate in a fairly monotanous pattern, but there is also beauty to be found if we look for it.
this poem was like a beautiful little daydream of frolicking around in a garden. i love the way you hugged the imagery of nature with strings of romance. great job!
Perhaps we do have 'if onlys' surrounding us from which we live in the dreams of a beautiful, ideal vermillion sunset. However, in spite of all the fluff that makes up our minds and encircle our visions, forever composing other worlds and love- I think we might call it poetic essence, and it makes us flow across pages of such fantasies, and ideal becomes much more. Take this poem, for instance =)
Great, fun and happy little verse here, Frieda. I'll tell you, I don't know why this mental image popped into my head as I read it, (maybe it was the music?), but I could picture Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, the Scarecrow, and all of the rest of the gang that set out for the Emerald City with her that day, holding hands, twirling 'round and 'round as they all danced in a circle in a field full of poppies...I simply gotta cut-back on my coffee intake!
Great, gr-r-r-r-r-e-a-t!

If you want to know me, read my poetry, it's all in there. I am a mother of three sons (my finest moments) a sister, a survivor and a little bit crazy. I lost my beloved sister to suicide, so you'll.. more..
