Entrance'd Reverie

You light my path

                 with orchid sunlight

in your voice 

                I hear the melody of angels

         as wildflowers dance to the harmony

    of countryside's waterfall

        crystalline air

butterfly musings fancy

           the bewitching sprays 

you are the starry trance

                  of a sun kissed sky,

       whilst moonlit passages make me sigh

 cream in my coffee, 

                the 'good' in morning

you put the glint of 

                   smiles in my eyes

~exquisite reverie that

             takes my breath away~

Arch might be too strong a word, but there is a certain self consciousness in this description of love's beautiful morning. What I like is this balance between a certain sceptical attitude with a full embrace of the promised bounty of a new love. A phrase like 'orchid sunlight' suggests its the real thing while 'the melody of angels' is just too clichéd to suggest Mr Right will soon turn out to be Mr Wrong....

There's some interesting wordplay in this one Frieda, when orchids bloom as bright as the sun, the winds will carry warmth within them like the words which you have written.

This is beautiful and romantically sensuous. The "you" is one lucky protagonist to have so much flowery language tossed at him... your imagery is breath-taking... "orchid sunlight" is such a gorgeous image.. I really love this one Frieda.
