A Poet's Posy

A Poet's Posy

A Poem by Frieda P

I fall to the depths in your pain
am elevated in your glory
deep within each moment
perhaps a singular,  familiar light
recognition of places we've been
our destiny's not shared        yet
our commonplace daily lives conjoin
be it pizza, pain, bliss or destruction
nuances of humankind bring us together
refining the craft, speaking our minds
reach out and touch someone with a gift
adornments of life's tapestry in motion
there is no deeper meaning for a poet

You have pretty much sadi it all in this piece. Indeed, poets are a starnge lot, but most of the time well meaning, supportive and genuinely friendly. You can learn a lot from a poet if you pay attention. Maybe I should listen to myself. Nicely done Frieda and a beautiful start to my day.

Yes, no deeper meaning for a poet. That common ground.

Yes, I think we feel more in touch when someone can relate to our poetry, thanks TL.
Poetry is a gift to others...and we receive a lot of gifts here don't we?Our poet friends know us better than our families...Enjoyed Frieda...Rose

So very true Rose, thanks my friend. :-)
poets ,here we see each other, feel the sprouts as they push in and out of our world, so layered in humanity, or inhumanity, just depends on the perspective the world gives you to purchase,Freida I think you rounded up most of the strays. Now brand us,worm us,feed us regularly, and we should be ready for market come fall.
