The loss of someone you love is hard to deal with. This is such a powerful write. Although they are gone, and we're in pain we still relive those memories, we still have all those amazing memories that we can look back on. I loved the title. This whole write was absolutely amazing!

Sorry I missed this lovely review Sye, much appreciated my friend.
The loss of a beloved is hard-to -come-to -terms with. Your poem states the obvious..'there is no sense of touch or grasp' so beautifully.I love the line "memories keep you alive in your absence'' This line says it all.love your style of writing

Wow, thanks so much Onku, really jazzed by your review.
The desperate part of the period - the gap - is the sudden absence of the ability to touch....with hands, with eyes, with smell, with warmth...with all the signals of sharing we send, now with nowhere to connect. Very affecting for me, Frieda. P.

I was sitting in a room....it was dark....there was sullen wine in tarnished glasses....you sat and told me these things....we were still. We drank. We didnt talk much. We understood.
That's where you took me.

Holy CM, you actually brought me to that dark room too, grazie mille.
"you dug us both a grave with your last breath".. Thank fully, I have seen no death of any beloved of mine but your poetry, for a minute, made me actually live the sad experience.

You're lucky Mehak, hopefully it remains that way for a long time to come, thanks.
Yours is one of the first poems I've read since arriving here and your words expressed that horrific sense of loss in a way that reaches deep into the heart and soul. "All musical tracks mute by eradication" - that line at the end says it all for me.

Very emotionally resonating, a nice little poem on a sadly familiar subject, I'm sick of reading poetry by people contemplating suicide, they need to read these poems and see what they would leave in their wake. I do think you contemplate her act a little to much to be healthy, my friend has been gone two years now, but I refuse to do a poem on it. He made his choice and I make the better choice to live everyday. He would not want me to stay reflecting on him, obviously that's impossible and I know your situation was closer to home, but I do worry about you dear. Lets see some more life Poetry! Take a sweet deep breath xxx

I wonder if anyone told Sylvia Plath she should only write pretty pieces.....I agree, no one contemplating suicide thinks of the pain they'll leave behind. I doubt my sister would want me reliving it either, but perhaps she should have thought of that before she took her own life too. Thank you kindly for your thoughts here Samuel, muchly appreciated.

How can a person be so alive - and then just gone? I remember after my grandma passed - and I so wanted to feel her presence...that whole thing about how angels and those who are gone can reach out and comfort...That you will still feel them with you...we were on the road - not far from where she lived - and I remember scanning the trees in the direction of her house - aching to feel her presence. And there was nothing - she was just gone. There's a longer story - but for now. When I read this - that horror of finality comes back so vividly in your words. I can feel it.

If you want to know me, read my poetry, it's all in there. I am a mother of three sons (my finest moments) a sister, a survivor and a little bit crazy. I lost my beloved sister to suicide, so you'll.. more..
