~Enchanted Moon Trance

~Enchanted Moon Trance

A Poem by Frieda P

       Enchanted by a moon trance
in your eyes
    starry stratospheres
          take on sparkling hues
       wafting violaceous diamonds
                    of lapis lazuli
         streaming beautiful music
             in its radiance
cello's playing whimsy
                 with a prolific message
          strumming across my heart stings
striking old love chords
                     tuning harmonious notes
      beating in my chest
                  a bumble of flutterbys
              wonder if these butterflies
                                  could be true
you make my soul tremble and sigh,
                 would you leave me bluer
                              than the azure skies

Like Noodlehead I am a sucka for moon and stars pieces. I also would have came here anyway because I thought I saw Raquel minus the fur in the poem photo... ;)
I love how the subject is so enchanted that they are ready to fall in love yet at the back of their mind (and the end of the poem) theres that niggling doubt -
"would you leave me bluer
than the azure skies"
I also liked the use of the cello device because it has to be the most sexual of the orchestra's instruments which adds to the eroticism.
Very hott Frieda P - nice poem too - oh Im sorry, I'll behave...

Woo, jazzed by your review, thanks prashant ;-)
Nicely done!
I have always been a fan of alliteration and you did it so well here. And then the final question at the end suggestive of a wiser heart who has known the butterflies and realizes that sometimes the buzzing is actually from a bee that could sting.
The musical references were played well - never cliche. I particularly enjoyed the cello and whimsy. Given the tone of the instrument a wonderful counterpoint.

Smiling here :-)
If only you were dark-skinned, in order to cleverly play with the lines once more: "How could a man be so black and blue?"
I was always fond of that line, as I am fond of this poem. Well done!

your welcome:)
Music inspired but beyond into the thoughts that particular music inspires. Gentle and lace like so acoustic music. These are thoughts to a soundtrack of thinking.

With my blessing Frieda.
This is real music in its making. The imagery is well captured. Should your heart stings in this musicality, I wonder why. The poem is good.

Glad you enjoyed it Kristin.
This one has real colour to it as you read. It is melancholy in it's gentle tone. A melody of a poem
