this is so poe-ish...but reminds me of sherlock holmes in Murder by Decree, playing the violin after he went to see annie crook at the mental institution and how he cried for her...even as he was playing..
the violin is a beautiful instrument but can play such sad, haunting notes.
this poem is sad and haunting.

"Ravens take flight in their delusions, swaying frenzied to the memories" some distress in here I sense. like yourbplaying them to surface and rise and evaporate. very good Frieda!:)
I think gypsies are a fascinating subject and because music is a passion of mine, second only to writing, only made this poem all the more enjoyable. Thank you, Frieda, this was just beautiful:)

Thanks Rebecca, me too, I think I might have been in a past life. ;-)
I'm a gypsy girl at heart. This speaks of emotional turmoil. (I actually got teary-eyed)
Lovely flow of words...and enjoyed the sweet music weaving into each stanza. You deserve a standing ovation on this one! :)

Woo, I'm dancing to your review, thanks so much Quill! :-)
If you want to know me, read my poetry, it's all in there. I am a mother of three sons (my finest moments) a sister, a survivor and a little bit crazy. I lost my beloved sister to suicide, so you'll.. more..
