Gigolo

Gigolo

A Poem by Frieda P
"

Inspired by Norah Jones~I've Got To See You Again

"
you danced through me like a flamenco dancer on crack
was like a dream on fire in tangos tempo
i was addicted to the heat, had to see you again
sultry nights when i'm all alone i think of you
i've watched you smokin' in my mind
you move over me with clockwork precision
i won't share you in my head,
dark bedroom orbs beckon my wanton desires
i touch your skin, its tautness unrelenting
i can't help myself you're like a toxic elixir
your dark shadow matches those in my closet
the warning signs are there, your eyes tell a story that's old
probably told hundreds of times in silly girl's reminiscence
yet, they're playing our song... take a chance on me
with background lyrics harmonious in my head
'I can't help myself.... I've got to see you again'

This poem takes traditional ideas and places them into a stylistic and classy rendition, seen through your uniquely refined vision. Its story speaks to the commoner in a fashionably sexy manner, with a great deal of hot-blooded rhythm and exciting movement. There are many different details, literary techniques, and dynamics. It is simplistic but complicated, and an overall great read.

Those people who make us want to be fearless and wild. We need a few in a lifetime. I enjoyed the story in the poem and the desire to repeat the dance. No weakness in the excellent poetry.

I often wonder how this is how girls feel about idiots they fall in love with...well I don't wonder it so much now as I did in my school years...for now I just revel in the poetry of the sublime Mrs.R ;)

Lol Thomas, now you sound like Cyntax. Yes, it's about you. ;-)
an old story indeed.... told with a certain pathos that stirs the heart...

but I don't think you meant 'it's tautness' ... :-)

Lol, my Achilles heel, I wasn't thinking along the lines of those kinds of conjugations. ;-)

Good girl!
ohh fantasy man... haha... love it!... and the imagination can play these scenes out so well, the intricate details of every shared glance and mesmerizing touch... only sometimes the fantasy is a thousand times better than reality will ever be... i think we all live in these fantasies at times:)

I can see why the song inspired you. Some attractions are just to hard to resist no matter how we try. Spicy hot words here.... definitely raises the temperature!! Lol...

Glad you enjoyed the music N!LoC....
Too many times has one felt as this to come to a banquet of love, but after the feast leave with the taste of sour grapes in the all of them! I have asked myself why someone couldn't have just put another song in the cue????

Your words are mesmerizing as is the video of Norah Jones. You have produced a great write to accompany the vibes of the words and music of her song.
