" the gentlest breeze,
a fragrance remembered so well,
a discernible whisper in my ear,"
I'm so glad you are dreaming some nice dreams for a change among all life's troubles and aches. We need them to refresh our souls and give us hope...Bravo...:)
Frieda, this piece reads exactly like a dreamy whisper, gently flowing down the page. I am reminded of friends who have left too soon, but whose memory still lingers.
"feelings still linger like hot fiery ice" This line was so intense for me. I loved it! A vivid descriptions of mixed emotions within oneself.
Your poems and always so profound, even in their simplest form.
Sometimes we missed somebody whose no longer with us...then through our imagination we believe that he's there..only to find out that he's really been there!
I see more then one way to view this poem. The dream touch of a lover...a sensual longing in our sleep. But it can just as easily show the presence of a loved one who has left to soon. Family or friend ..someone close who is missed so much. Either way it is beautiful and a little simpler then your usual pieces. And it touches me sweetly! xo

Awh, so glad it did Red, see you're an old softie after all. ;-) xo
Once more I find a gift under my tree and it is surrounded by beautiful wildflowers and blue skies offering fragrant winds upon my face. This is why I sleep, not so much to dream, but to wake the next morning and find your poetry waiting to awaken my dawning smiles. Very nice my sweet friend. Tender and touching and oh so romantic. Loved this Frieda.

If you want to know me, read my poetry, it's all in there. I am a mother of three sons (my finest moments) a sister, a survivor and a little bit crazy. I lost my beloved sister to suicide, so you'll.. more..
