I love this line: "the heartbreaker maestro of a million sad concertos." When I read it I could totally hear my favorit ones playing in my head. The imagery is fantastic. And the message is very well laid inbetween such beautiful lines. Sometimes we lose site of/ or fail to see/ the danger ahead, because we get so caught up in the moment. Very well written.

Thanks Kristin, I think we all have made his acquaintance at one time or another.
Watch out for those sweet talking men.... Maybe you think you are the only one, the special one... When you realize this maestro has played this song before.... My take may be off, but that's where I'm going with this melody...
Well, I'd gotten a preview of this poem B)
I love poems about being "played" ;)
It makes your mind dance around with the words.
Just the idea of using all those words about music as metaphors gets me all worked up :P

Yes, needed to add a few more musical beats, glad you danced with me! ;-)
This was beautiful Frieda. Soft and lonely, but beautiful. Music is a part of us all, from that favorite new song to the old ones which stir memories of past loves. If on this guitar of love he only would have played the G-string, I think things would have been a bit happier.
So beautiful, Frieda. I love the idea of music and the way that you wove that concept throughout the entire work. The wording and phrasing here is so moving that I nearly got lost in the read; just allowing the wordds to wash over me. I can always count on you for a strong, concise and well penned write. Thank you for that!

Music is such a big part of life and especially in love, thanks Friday!
"Untuned eyes" - far more dangerous than a tin ear when it comes to heartsongs. You have a gift for putting feelings in such innovative packages, Frieda!

If you want to know me, read my poetry, it's all in there. I am a mother of three sons (my finest moments) a sister, a survivor and a little bit crazy. I lost my beloved sister to suicide, so you'll.. more..
