Heart Flutters

Heart Flutters

A Poem by Frieda P

I've read many sad tunes
           written quite a few,
when my heart flutters
    through your life chapters
       to reminisce your memories,
butterflies arouse to float on zephyrs
easing the formlessness of my soul

On a lighter note, the pic moved me to think of the lovely memories, even in death, they live on in our hearts.

Hmm statistically it is shown that people tend to cling to their better memories no matter how horrendous that particular time period was I guess we were meant to be resilient when it's all said and done we all like to go back the old times whether good or bad to get a bit of Heart Flutters Great writing Frieda

Thanks Skittles, glad you liked it. :-)
I like the gentleness and hope of the words in the poem. Memories are like butterflies wings. Appear to make us happy and sometimes sad. Thank you for the excellent poetry.

Thanks so much TL, glad you enjoyed this one.
May I suggest an organized compilation piece, to be titled, simply, "Butterflies and Zephyrs"? You could post all of these beautiful works in one book, as it were, and I may even know a certain someone who could help you out with getting it published ;-)

Just a thought...xoxo

This is a mournful write with a strong sense of beauty in it. Inks how your represent what remembering that person does. I have to say that the what you have put forth is unique; I have never read a piece that described remembering that way. I recently read a piece that talked about making pockets in the heart for memories, and that people are never truly gone if we delve into those pockets. I think this poems takes that idea further and shows what happens when one of those pockets are opened.

Sounds like a plan. ;-)
A sad, sad piece of writing. Would they be called a Weeping of Loss, I wonder. We can't stop hurting, not completely but for those we've lost we have to live on and remember smile times.. if not, surely we do those people an injustice by submerging wonderful times, moments, memories (You)
