Pomegranate Wine? Yuck!! lol Beautiful poem, but someone would have to actually SPIKE the wine with a different liquor to make it not taste of a medicinal tone. I sooooo "respectfully" want to peel away at your poem, here, but right off the bat... I wished to see that it has some space above and blow the poem so as to center it and give it a proper stage to perform on. : ) The color is perfect... and appropriate!! Your rhymes have also gotten a little tighter in the respect that they are of a more soothing nature in the beat and how each word that you have chosen to represent the scents and scene of color and that unusual palette of such an acquired taste, is undoubtedly delicious in its own sense. : ) Aphrodite would summon a kiss for you if you were top pose a cheek for her fruitful kiss after a reading of this beautiful poem. I Love it. Pomegranate.... yuck. Poem.... beautiful!! xoxo -Mark

Not sure what to say, your imagery is amazing, and pomegranate wine sounds lovely, is there really such a thing? As always you deliver beauty to us in your poetry.
Relatively short poem full of wondrous imagery and amazing vocabulary and we know it's Frieda. :) Another beautiful piece, liked it. And the font color's very nice.
lol Great poem Frieda I try to stay away from wine the better it is the worst it is for me and the people who have to put up with my impulses lol this was a blissful poem very spirited very free i love this sort of writing
Beautiful work and I love the use of bliss as a verb in the last line. It was the seeds of the pomegranate that bound Persephone to Hades side for eternity and the thought of pomegranate wine makes me think of sacred rites honoring cycle of life and the role of the Divine Feminine in to.

Beautiful bucolic setting. I really like it. A lot of great imagery. I like the last two lines. Nicely penned.

The love of fine wines! I have never had pomegranate wine. I imagine it to be bitter, but you make it sound appealing. I enjoyed reading your lovely poem!

It's not bitter, sweet with a little snap to it, thanks for stopping by and reviewing Morgan.
remind me how you bliss my soul - indeed - love the snapshot effect of this one. Each little stand alone line evokes something powerful "coffee's wafting aroma" yes, I can smell that. Ocean breezes, I feel them, the taste of sweet wine...and they all come together in wonderful poetry. Not a single word wasted.
If you want to know me, read my poetry, it's all in there. I am a mother of three sons (my finest moments) a sister, a survivor and a little bit crazy. I lost my beloved sister to suicide, so you'll.. more..
