Deliverance

Deliverance

A Poem by Frieda P
"

Injustice, power & money,

"
Pound another nail in offenses box
crucifixion was not enough to suffice
dance on the souls of innocence
graves dug deep to hide reality
Almighty salacious verdant takes precedence
you can afford the fare but not the price you'll pay
time will tell the true licentiousness of your demeanor
ringing karma's doorbell with lamentations force
what goes round comes round in chargeable  time
bend over and let the devil see where you truly dwell
redemption's ransom more than checkbooks can afford

You have branched into the darkness lately, my friend. I rather like this side of your writing, because it seems to ooze with such deep and honest emotion. I like the ideas and concepts of karma explored here, and the different possibilities and conclusions that this idea can convey.

you can afford the fare but not the price you'll pay
time will tell the true licentiousness of your demeanor -- these are some heavy lines...and full of truth.

No one says it better than you Frieda. Another masterful piece on what is faced in this corrupt society we all somehow live in. The best we can do for ourselves is to hope to survive, but it is what we can do for others that really counts. Evil is everywhere, all we have to do is look around. Some attack when we least expect it, while others come at us head on. You have used your poem today to begin the bankruptcy of the eveil and make a deposit into the bank accounts of the good.

Power and corruption pervert justice. The a******s of the world walk free to abuse again. A society may be judged by how it treats the least if its people. Every word here beats in my skull like the war drums of natives calling for action. Until this stops...victims will never have peace.

The truth in your words ring loud and clear and echoes in Karma.
Excellent...:)

a kid came to live at my house back around Easter, in the weeks leading up to the decision, well-meaning friends would ask if i could afford another dependent

i felt blessed to say that i couldn't afford the three i already had, but money didn't have anything to do with anything

he graduates from high school tonight and next friday we have an appointment to get him some help getting ready to go out into the world and find a job

hoping to teach him about poetry and art and finding his voice somewhere along the way

Karma gets her payment one way or another, every time. The frustration is that we don't always get to see the transaction take place. Great piece, Frieda!
