Your Tears Slid Down My Face

Your Tears Slid Down My Face

A Poem by Frieda P

Perhaps you recognized my dark suit in your closet
occasionally your tears have slid down my face
our hearts could be beating in the same rhythm as we speak
your ink has stained my mind, mine has oozed upon your eyes
wide divides with no spaces between the twists of alchemy
no quasi hyphenation counterfeit resemblances to simulate
24 carats of pure unadulterated compulsive purging of the soul
weeping in your tang of bitterness, crying in your soul
with pen to paper, tears to dust through poetic firmament
smiling behind melancholy eyes ruminating inky connections

A amazing poem. Your poetry is getting more powerful and love the way you use the language.
"your ink has stained my mind, mine has oozed upon your eyes

You are welcome...:)
There is no exorcism of grief, no purge, but your piece eloquently describes the small but perceptible relief in two people articulating and sharing the same hurt. Thanks for your insight, love. P.

Thanks muchly Renee.
This is a piece filled to the brim with angst and a sorrow that is quiet and throbbing. This piece wants to say so much about things, and through it, you have shown such a beautiful bit of tragedy. I love the imagery of the "spaces" and "divides" as well as the "inky connections"--very strong and pack a great punch! Well done, my friend.

I think on some level our ink connects us in a unique way, thanks Friday.

I completely agree.
The sharing of a common grief. Two people who are scarred by the same pain. While others may relate to suffering, no one quite understands like a fellow survivor. As always you amaze me with your use of words. Your talent is humbling... x
