This is really great. You see, I love poems that are political in nature. Whilst reading this, I couldn't help but picture sardonic politicians around the world. Such potency in your metaphors and vivid imagery, Frieda. After reading several of your poems, I think you can now have an anthology of them. I love that your poems are empowering.

Completely freaked out by that picture, gotta say... And the anger exudes from the screen as I read this; those flames at the bottom intensifying the heat. Politicians - back-stabbers - our own personal demons... all could be the target of this apt tirade. Good write, though it embittered my morning Cheerios a bit!

Ha freaked me out too really, don't you have some sugar for those cheerios? ;-) Thanks Rita!
a poem with a tough vision, an attack upon people who do not speak the truth, with the use of thou the second person formal you give it ( I think ) a kind of Edgar Allen Poe feeling ..a good poem..

"cut thy own tongue and feed it unto thy ego" One of the best lines I've seen penned anywhere. This was a dark poem chastising of those who are driven by ego, using fear to bring the weak to their knees. Definitely a mind piece here as the thoughts it produces are many. Very cool my good friend.
